Brooke Young, Owner is a certified Pilates instructor in good standing with the
Pilates Method Alliance, an independent organization dedicated to protecting the
quality of the profession and protecting the public by establishing
certification standards for Pilates professionals. She has received training
from Pacific Northwest Ballet, Polestar Pilates Education, and Mind and Body,
where she completed over 1000 hours of instruction to receive her certification.
She has taught in various gyms, fitness and Pilates studios throughout Seattle,
including 4 years at Pacific Northwest Ballet, where she worked with a wide
variety of clientele ranging from professional dancers to seniors.
David Young, Owner is an American College of Sports Medicine certified fitness trainer. He received additional
certification through the Ashmead College fitness training program where he
graduated with honors and a thorough understanding of anatomy, kinesiology,
exercise physiology and more. An experienced athlete, he has competed in the New
York City and Seattle Marathons and more, and knows what it takes to get and stay fit. He is a STOTT-trained Pilates instructor and has
experience working with everyone from new moms to Olympic athletes and enjoys
helping people reach their health and fitness goals.
Pamela Blevins began studying Pilates 20 years ago and quickly saw the results
of the method. Along with noticeable core and all-over strength came a greater
awareness of her movement and a newfound focus on her overall well-being. Having
experienced the benefits of Pilates and wanting to share her passion for the method, Pamela
was trained and certified to teach Pilates in 2003 through Mind and Body and is
a member in good standing with the Pilates Method Alliance. She is dedicated to
furthering her knowledge of movement and creating a strong balanced body by
continuing to study under different teachers with a variety of approaches.
Sue Bream
is a Pilates Method Alliance certified Pilates instructor and has been an ACE and ACSM
certified personal trainer since 1996. She specializes in pre- and
post-natal exercise and teaches the popular "Pilates for Moms" classes at our
studio. She completed training in
breast cancer rehab through the
Pink Ribbon Program and
teaches the “Active Woman/Healthy Woman” exercise class through Team Survivor at
the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance. Her belief is that fitness is a way of life
and a choice that we make through good everyday decisions. Sue is dedicated to
helping her clients make positive changes in their lives through an active
lifestyle.
