PILATES
__________________________________________

Pilates has grown in popularity for one simple reason: It works.  The exercises are suitable for all fitness levels and safe and effective for pregnancy, most back conditions and various other conditions.  At the same time Pilates is also beneficial for athletes and sports-specific training and can be used to enhance performance and endurance.  The Pilates exercise is designed to tone and sculpt the entire body and help you lose weight all at the same time.

There are 3 ways for you to enjoy Pilates at our studio.  We offer private, one-on-one instruction, duet sessions which allow you to share with a friend,  and semi-private group classes which allow up to 5 people to share a class on the Reformers.  Descriptions of each are below:

Individual Sessions
Individual sessions utilize the Reformer, the Trapeze Table, the Wunda Chair and various small apparatuses.  Sessions are tailored to the needs of the individual and are a good way to learn the fundamentals of Pilates before moving into group classes, as well as an excellent way to address specific fitness or rehabilitative goals.  Always wanted to try those weird looking machines?  This is a perfect opportunity to see what all the fuss is about.  Our Pilates Reformers will lengthen and strengthen your muscles and elongate your spine, making you feel leaner, longer and stronger. These sessions can be scheduled Monday through Saturday, 7am-7:30pm.

Pilates Reformer classes
If you have ever wanted to try Pilates but cost was a deterrent, these classes are designed for you!  Semi-private sessions allow people to share a Pilates session on the equipment while still allowing for individualized attention and instruction.   One instructor works with 3-5 students who will generally do the same routine with modifications given as needed.   Please see Schedule page for current class offerings.  Note: Previous Reformer experience required

Duets Sessions
Duet sessions allow 2 people to share a Pilates class on the equipment.  These classes are good for people who have a partner they want to work out with, as it allows for individualized instruction and a shared cost.  These sessions incorporate the Reformers, Trapeze Table, Wunda Chair and small apparatuses.  These sessions can be scheduled Monday through Saturday, 7am-7:30pm.

All Pilates sessions on the equipment are by appointment and last 50 minutes.   Class packages expire in 9o days.  24 hour notice required for all cancellations.
